Job Description for Business Analyst

We are hiring for an entry-level Business Analyst. This is a great opportunity for any recent graduate or emerging professional looking to start their career in the finance industry. This position will be supporting senior financial team members and collaborating between several departments. Salary: $35,000.00 to $45,000.00 /year

  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and operations to fully analyze and support strategic and business objectives, with emphasis on margin improvements
  • Create charts and graphs, using computer spreadsheets, to illustrate technical reports
  • Inform investment decisions by analyzing financial information to forecast business, industry, or economic conditions
  • Monitor developments in the fields of industrial technology, business, finance, and economic theory
  • Interpret data on price, yield, stability, future investment-risk trends, economic influences, and other factors affecting investment programs

Transferable Skills Needed

  • Office software acumen - comfortable with a wide variety of software including, but not limited to Microsoft Suite, Google applications, and relevant databases
  • Mathematical reasoning - facility with numbers, the proven ability to calculate, post and manage figures and records, and the ability to choose the right mathematical methods to solve a problem
  • Economics and accounting expertise - knowledge of and interest in economic and accounting principles and practices, the financial markets, banking and the analysis and reporting of financial data
  • Communication - express ideas clearly in both written and verbal correspondence, listen effectively, and share information appropriately with persons inside and outside the organization
